This site is dedicated to J2ME game development (nowadays known as JavaME, but I’ll stick to the term J2ME). It was created as an attempt to make life easier for all of you dedicated J2ME programmers out there.

As I see it, mobile game development is very much the last resort for us who love to develop smart and funny 2d-based games. 3d is fun and all (and more J2ME 3d enabled games are popping up each day) but for me, 2d based games has and will always have a special place in my heart. Yes, it’s probably 70% 80’s and early 90’s nostalgia that does it, and I’m sure the new generation of gamers out there disagree. But when it comes to mobile gaming, classic 2d gaming has a place to live and prosper for at least a few years more!

And making J2ME games is not that hard. Sure, it’s challenging to fit your game into just so many kilobytes, but that’s just part of the fun!
